The main course is the heart or substantial part of the meal. God’s Word is rich, filling and significant. To be nourished in the main course, we need to utilize study methods in order to handle the Bible with integrity and purpose.

Appetizer: anything that excites the appetite or gives relish before the meal.
The “Appetizer” in our series is the reading of the Word. If the meal involves the study of the Word, READING the Word is relish before the meal. Of course we are talking about more than the physical ability to read the printed word. We are talking about the attitude and the heart that we bring to the reading.

Fresh, healthy, delicious fruit (actions that represent the Kingdom of God) is the result of being connected to Jesus, nothing less and nothing more. This connection nourishes us in such a way that our lives and good deeds will nourish and bless others.

In this new series, we will look at how to learn to spiritually feed ourselves from the Bible. God’s words are nourishment for our souls. If we learn to spiritually eat well and develop a balanced diet, we’ll experience life to the full as God intended.
