What is the Bible really for?

1. Answers: An Answer book to answer all of life’s questions?
2. Rules: A rule book that tells us God’s boundaries - who’s in and who’s out?
3. Authoritative Resource: A resource book from which to build creeds, doctrines and great sermons?
4. Promises: A promise book that reveals the secret formulas for getting God to act the way I want Him to?

Is that what the Bible is for? Or maybe it is for something else…

Can I question God and survive? Is it really okay? Can I struggle and have doubts about the Bible? Is there a place for doubting and honest questions as a Christian and in the church? What do we do with our questions? May we discover God through our questions and doubt!

Mary missed the clues or telltale signs of the resurrection. How many signs have we missed that Jesus is alive and present in our daily experience? How often have we missed the spiritual as being just daily life?
