Pantano Christian Church (PCC) is launching a Multi-Site church on August 17, 2008 in Sierra Vista. This church will be a second campus of PCC! This raises a bunch of questions to most folks. So, here is my attempt to answer a few that I have already been asked.

What in the world is a Multi-Site?

A church becomes Multi-Site when it offers additional worship services in new locations. This new site in Sierra Vista will offer live worship, a Site Pastor (me!) and teaching from the Pantano Christian Church teaching team via video. Think of this new church as “one church in many locations”. We are one church. I am a part of Pantano Christian Church as will be all those in Sierra Vista, AZ.

The Pantano Christian Church in Sierra Vista (PCC-SV) will have the same philosophy of ministry, same Mission and Core Values as the Pantano Christian Church in Tucson. As an extension of Pantano Christian Church, we will be all about loving people to Jesus and launching passionate people to make our world different. We already have folks engaged and living out the PCC core values of STEP in Sierra Vista. We have folks in Life Groups sharing life together. We have folks transforming into Christ’s likeness through CR groups and classes. We are learning and living what it means to be entrusted with time, talents and treasures. We have folks actively participating in the Great Commandment and Great Commission.

What is a Site Pastor?

The Site Pastor is just that => the Pastor at the site or as I like to say “the face with the place”. I get to be the full-time Pastor at the new site in Sierra Vista. My family and I are engaged in the lives of those in Sierra Vista to help them find their place in PCC-SV and on the PATHWAY to God. My job will be to help folks along their journey to Christ. I get to help make others great for the Kingdom of God! How cool is that?

What is the “Launch Team”?

The Launch Team is the group of folks that have said they want to help start up and serve in the new site of PCC. These folks are dedicated to praying, serving, planning, and most of all having fun as we move toward the opening day of PCC-SV. This is the team that is planning our marketing and outreach. This is the team of folks that have locked arms together and are working to support, staff and grow the areas of children’s ministry, worship ministry, first touch ministry, and kitchen ministry in Sierra Vista. The Launch Team members are serving in Life Groups and are truly living out the mission of PCC of loving people to Jesus and launching passionate people to make our world different.
