I have encountered many of the "older brothers" who have such a sense of superiority over those who are struggling. But what really hit me is the realization that I have also been one of those people, trying to earn God's grace by being religious and following all the rules. It truly is an enslavement. I came to realize that there was nothing I could do to earn God's favor. He has offered it free of charge. I just had to admit that I had made a mess of things and then accept the gift. How great is that! Thanks for the blog this week. It's a keeper! This was a powerful message.
