The class is taught by our DAT team member, Jammie Tompkins. This class is open to anyone interested in CPR training. You must register through the Red Cross. Here is a link to get you started.

Our  regular meeting for the Disaster Action Team is scheduled for the second Thursday of each month in Town Hall at  1830 hours, Room 6.

We usually have some type of training exercise or guest speaker in addition to our regular information meeting. We plan our involvement of future events and discuss on-going projects with our members.

In an emergency at home:

I need a quart of water for each day.

Emergency food should only be essentials. No comfort foods.

I know where my electric and gas lines are located and how to turn them off.

If you are not sure about any of the above answers, join us for the information meeting. 

 

The “Are You Prepared” Class is an introduction to the idea of preparedness. Anyone who is interested in what is needed to take care of themself, their family, and their community should make time to attend. We will have information for you about utilities, supplies for a “home” kit, and how to prepare for the unexpected.

The class is held each quarter and is two hours long; a very little time to invest in the safety of your family.

Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and watch for the next scheduled class.

We  can also arrange to present this class to outside groups such as PTA’s or Home Owner Association Meetings.

This training is open to the public. We offer this course in an effort to provide you with the skills and information necessary to help respond to emergency situations that could happen in our community.
