cert-status.jpg       What is CERT?

Local government prepares for everyday emergencies. However, during a disaster, the number and scope of incidents can overwhelm conventional emergency services. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their community.

When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a diaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community.

In our CERT training, you will learn:

The types of hazards most likely to affect your home and comunity; (You may be surprised at this information.)
